I am Michelle, and I’m truly delighted that you’ve found me here at A Beautiful Catholic Life.

Weddings and children have always been two of my greatest sources of joy in life. Whether you are learning how to plan a Catholic wedding, interested in liturgical living, looking for some hope and encouragement postpartum, or for tips to strengthen your marriage, you’ll be at home here.

My desire for this blog is to provide a place of encouragement and warmth, where we can walk together and reflect on this beautiful path of marriage and family life.

Your sister in Christ,

You may find me cramming for book club, catching up with friends and family, playing cooperative board games with my husband, hiking (very slowly and somewhat patiently with toddlers) baking relatively healthy snacks, and dreaming alternately about buying a very old and gorgeous home, or going to Europe again someday.

“He has made everything beautiful In its time; also he has put eternity into man’s mind…”

Ecclesiastes 3:11

When my husband and I were on our honeymoon, we were hiking and marveling about spending the rest of our lives together. I said something super idealistic along the lines of, “Life is going to be SO joyful and wonderful and fun with you!” To which Andrew replied something realistic like, “There’s going to be hard parts, too.” Needless to say, I did NOT appreciate the reality-check in the midst of newlywed bliss; yet the conversation that ensued lead us to the conclusion that, whatever challenges and joys would come our way, we would have a beautiful life together.
